Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on August 23, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 am and 10:10 am. There were 7 children present with 1 caregiver supervising for a total of 20 points. Children were observed playing in various learning centers with age-appropriate toys. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care, emergencies and nutrition. Children and caregiver records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview with the provider, a written record of children in attendance was not maintained for each day.
Evidence:
1. At the time of inspection (8/23/22) children were not written on the attendance sheet.
2. The provider acknowledged she had not kept a written attendance sheet.
Plan of Correction: I will start keeping the attendance sheet.

The provider did not determine the need for additional caregiver when they exceeded 16 points as determined by the point system.
Evidence:
1. There were 7 children present, which is a total of 20 points with one caregiver.
2. The provider acknowledged she was over-ratio.
Plan of Correction: I will call my husband (alternate caregiver) to come help me this week.
