Inspector Notes

An unannounced on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on August 26, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:00am and ended at 10:05am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 5 children present and 1 caregiver. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records, 1 caregiver records and 3 household member's records on-site. The inspection included document review, tour of the home and outdoor space, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-540-A
Based on observation, an infant swing when occupied by a child, a safety strap was not used and securely fastened.
Evidence: The safety strap was not used when Child #3 was placed into the infant swing.
Plan of Correction: I will be sure to fasten the strap. Violation was corrected during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-800-680-B
Based on observation, caregiver did not ensure that children's hands are washing with liquid soap and warm running water after toileting or diapering.
Evidence: The caregiver did not ensure Child #1 hands were washed after diapering.
Plan of Correction: I will be more consistent with washing their hands after diapering. Violation corrected during the inspection.
