Inspector Notes

An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 9 children (16pts) with the Provider and 1 assistant was onsite. The children were focused with the provider reading a book on transportation. The programming space was set up with construction zones, books on transportation and trains. Fresh paint artwork was drying that the children had completed earlier in the morning. The space had a rice table and a light table that enables the children to interact with tactile activities. A nice transition was observed from circle time to hand washing before morning snack. The children took their seats and enjoyed cheese and crackers with either juice or water to drink. They were observed cleaning up and washing their hands before they transitioned to outside play. The home was found neat, organized and well furnished with toys, equipment and programming materials age appropriate for the children in care currently. One medication onsite and authorizations were found complete. A total of 5 children's records, both staff and all household records were reviewed today. Electronic files and hard copy files were organized and accessible to the inspector. This inspection occurred between 11am and noon. Thank you for your cooperation today.
