Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:45 am to 11:35 am. There were 7 children for a total of 23 points directly supervised by 2 staff. A tour of the home was conducted. 2 staff records, 2 children's records, 1 household member's record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and other daycare postings were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed in free play and listening to music. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and staff interview, the provider did not complete monthly evacuation drills.
Evidence: The evacuation drill log did not have any documentation of a drill for February and March 2024. The provider stated that the drills were not practiced.
Plan of Correction: Evacuation drills will be completed monthly.
Standard 8VAC20-800-960-E
Based on observation, infant bottles were not labeled with current dates.
Evidence: Two bottle for Child # 1 were not dated for today.
Plan of Correction: All bottles will be checked for complete labeling.
