Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/24/2021 and concluded on 06/03/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 38 children present and 7 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 staff records and 3 children's records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
Violations
3Evidence:
1. The physical exam for child 1 was obtained on 06/02/2021 which was more than 30 days after the enrollment date of 01/05/2021.
Evidence:
1. A can of aerosol spray air freshener was observed sitting on the toilet tank lid in one of the children's restrooms.
2. A spray bottle of bleach/water solution was observed stored on a high shelf in the hall way located outside of the restroom used for diapering.
Evidence:
1. The shelter-in-place procedure was not posted on the facility evacuation map.
