Inspector Notes

An in-person monitoring inspection was conducted on April 22, 2022. There were 10 children present, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Infants were observed napping. Preschool aged children were observed playing freely with dolls, toy trucks, and cars. A total of 3 child records, 1 household member and 2 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, hazardous materials were into stored away inaccessible to children.

Evidence: A hand sanitizer was kept in an unlocked drawer in the bathroom utilized by children.
Plan of Correction: Sanitizer will be kept in a locked area area not accessible to children.

Based on observation, topical skin products were accessible to children.

Evidence: Topical skin products such as diaper creams were observed in a basket on a low table accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: We will move the items to a shelf inaccessible to children.

Based on observation, meals and snacks brought from home were not labeled with the child's name and date.

Evidence: A child's lunch box was not labeled with the child's name or date.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure to label all children's lunches with name and date.

Evidence: A container of breastmilk was observed without the child's name.
