Inspector Notes

An unannounced, renewal inspection was completed on 09/04/2024 as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:45am and ended at 12:315pm.The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 9 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records. This inspection included a document review, tour of facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation the center did not ensure all required documents were posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
Evidence:
the center did not have the last inspection of the facility posted in a conspicuous place on the premise. It was posted inside of the director's office.
Plan of Correction: The director will move the inspections to the front entrance where the license is posted.
Standard 8VAC20-780-530-A
Based on record review and interview the center did not ensure there was at least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present that have the required training.
Evidence:
None of the staff had a current certification in CPR of First Aid. The administrator confirmed that none of the staff had a current certification.
Plan of Correction: The staff is scheduled to renew their certification on 09/13/2024. The director will forward the inspector the certificates once they are complete.
