Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on February 2, 2024 with the center director. There were 0 children present - there are no children currently enrolled. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant. No records were reviewed Two staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of two staff records, the facility failed to ensure that every employee repeat a background check in accordance with the Code of Virginia every five years.
Evidence: The most recent search of the central registry (CPS check) for Staff 1 and Staff 2 expired in 2023; there was not a repeat CPS check obtained on 2/1/2024.
Plan of Correction: The repeat CPS checks have been submitted to VDSS.
