Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 01/10/24 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with the Provider. There were three children in care, ranging in age from 23 months to three-years-old, for a total of seven points. Children were observed in free play. Four child records, one staff record, and two household member records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. No medications were on site and the provider understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Beth Velke, at beth.velke@doe.virginia.gov or 804-629-8302.
