Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 7/10/24 from 10:25 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a substitute provider. There were two children in care, three-years-old, for a total of four points. Children were observed playing in the kitchen area playing chef. Three child records, and two staff records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. No medications were on site and the provider understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. There were no areas of non-compliance observed during the inspection. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Beth Velke, at beth.velke@doe.virginia.gov or 804-629-8302.
