Inspector Notes
An unannounced complaint investigation was initiated on 8/4/23 in response to a complaint received in the licensing office regarding allegations of infants being fed table food and whole milk without parent permission, and being left in their cribs for extended periods of time when they were not asleep. Interviews were conducted, a classroom observation was conducted, and two staff records were reviewed. The allegation regarding infants being fed table food and whole milk without parent permission was determined to be valid and a violation was cited. The allegation regarding infants left in cribs for an extended time was unable to be substantiated due to insufficient corroborating evidence. An exit interview was conducted with the Director on 8/16/2023. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
Please complete the "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" areas on the Violation Notice for each violation cited and return to me by close of business on 8/21/2023. Plans of correction should include steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard, and measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again.
