8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Inspector Notes
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 08/19/2022 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 10 children were present with 2 caregivers. The programming area, menus, Provider, Assistant and Household member records, 10 child records, attendance, emergency drills, emergency plan and emergency supplies were observed. A new staff member has been hired since the last inspection. Children were observed participating in group play, singing the alphabet, dancing and dramatic play. Staff were current with certification in CPR and First Aid. Staff to child ratios were in compliance during the inspection.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
