Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 74 children directly supervised by 10 staff members. Child to staff ratios were found to be in compliance. Children were observed resting, washing hands, an infant returning to care, and reading books.

The physical plant, staff records, child records, medication policies and medications, evacuation drills, a sample of injury reports,emergency supplies and policies were reviewed.

Information gathered determined a violation with applicable code or law and is documented on Violation Notice.

Based upon observation, there was not required 12 inches of space between nap cots.
Evidence: The toddler classroom and pre-school classroom had 4 cots that had to be relocated to obtain the required 12 inches of space in between sleeping children.
Plan of Correction: Cots were moved during inspection and director reminded staff of standard.
