Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:30 pm-1:45 pm. Child to teacher ratios were found to be in compliance.
The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 child records, eveacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Medications on site were reviewed and allergy plans were discussed. Children were observed eating lunch, preparing for naptime and after- school pick up procedures/ transportation were also reviewed . Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of books,toys and materials for the children.

Violations were found and are identified on the Violation Notice.

Based on observation areas and equipment outside the center were not found in safe condition.

Evidence: The fence going down the left side of the playground and along the back wall was found to have multiple nails that had popped up out of the wood and were exposed.
Plan of Correction: We will put in request to repair.

Based on observation electrical outlets did not have protective covers.

Evidence: Room 6 was missing 1 electrical outlet cover by the cubbie area.
Plan of Correction: Replaced during inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-570-E
Based on observation infant formula was not dated with the child's name.

Evidence: 3 infant bottles prepared at home were not labeled with the child's name and date.
Plan of Correction: We will label right now.
