Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on October 17, 2022. Upon arrival at 12:10 PM there were a total of 4 children under the care of 1 caregiver present. The Licensing Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 1 household/staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to ensure the family day home is equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.

EVIDENCE:
A carbon monoxide detector was not installed in the home.

Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to maintain hot water at taps available to children within a range of 105 Degree F to 120 Degree F.

EVIDENCE:
Using a food/liquid thermometer, Licensing Inspector observed the hot water temperature, in the bathroom sink used by the children in car, registered 122.9 Degree F. Hot water temperature was not maintained within a range of 105 degree F to 120 degree F.

Based on observations, the Licensee failed to ensure infant cribs are not used as a play space for infants.

EVIDENCE:
Licensing Inspector observed the Provider placed a child in an infant crib for purposes other than sleeping. The Child was observed playing with manipulative toys while in the crib. Infant cribs was used as a play space.
