Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted September 15, 2022 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection begin at approximately 9:30 AM and concluded at 11:15 AM. The census for today's inspection consisted of 40 children in care and 8 staff supervising. During the tour, the inspector observed the children, playing with age appropriate material, participating in circle time, and interacting with peers and staff. The inspector observed 4 classrooms, playground, and restrooms. Staff were observed interacting with children in a positive manner. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The required postings were inspected and found to be in compliance. Liability insurance, and drills were all in compliance. There were five children's and five staff records reviewed. There were violations cited during this inspection.

Based on record review and medications present at the facility, there is no documentation on site to show that children with emergency medications are in the care of someone who has successfully passed the Medication Administration Training (MAT) training class. Evidence: During today's inspection, no staff present have documentation to show that they have passed the MAT training course. There was no MAT certified person onsite while child #1 age 4, who has an emergency medication onsite, was in care.
