Inspector Notes
An unannounced Code Compliance inspection was conducted on 2/7/23 from 10:30am through 12:00pm. There were 7 children present, ranging in age from 3 to 4 years old, supervised by one staff. The children were observed practicing writing their names, practicing word sounds, listening to a devotional story, and working on counting sequences. Five child records were reviewed for documentation of immunizations and proof of ID. Two staff records were reviewed for background checks, annual health statements, and training. The program adequate staff with CPR and First Aid certification. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Violations
3Evidence: There was no documentation on file of the most recent fire inspection conducted by the fire marshal. There was a notice posted on the door to the center from the Prince William County Office of the Fire Marshal stating "This structure has been placed on Fire Watch by order of the Fire Marshal." The notice further stated the reason for Fire Watch is "Fire and sprinkler out of service". The building was placed on Fire Watch on 1/4/23. There was also no documentation on file of the most recent health inspection conducted by the local health department.
Evidence: There was no documentation on file of staff being trained in a daily simple health screening.
Evidence: Staff #2 (Date of Hire: 1988) did not have documentation the Virginia Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry results on file.
