Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
There were 10 children present (31 points) with 3 caregivers. Children were observed resting quietly, playing with age appropriate toys and equipment.
6 cribs with appropriate manufacture dates, emergency evacuation drills, fridge temperature, menu, training hours (18+) completed and posted documents were all in compliance.

Standard 8VAC20-800-530-A
Based on observation a child did not linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover or a one-piece covering that is open on three sides while resting on a cot.
Evidence:
One child did not have a bottom cover while sleeping on a cot.
Plan of Correction: I have cot covers and will have one used for the child.
Standard 8VAC20-800-60-A
Based on a review of records, the provider did not maintain an up-to-date record for each enrolled child.
Evidence:
Child #5's record was not maintained as up-to-date. The record was dated 11/12/22, and was not updated annually.
Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to update the record.

Repeat Violation
Based on a review of records, child records did not contain all required information.
Evidence:
2 of 6 records reviewed were missing a second emergency contact.
