Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/15/23 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00p.m. with the provider and two assistants. There were 10 children in care, ranging in age from 13 months to three-years-old, for a total of 26 points. Children were observed eating lunch. Five child records and three caregiver records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. No medications were on site and the provider understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. Lunch served was rice, beef, corn and grapes. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Beth Velke, at beth.velke@doe.virginia.gov or 804-629-8302.
Please complete the "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" areas on the Violation Notice for each violation cited and return to me by close of business on 01/05/24.
