Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the provider on January 12, 2022 beginning at 10:30 AM and ending at 12:00 PM. There were five children in the care of the provider during the inspection. The children's ages were 19 months, 4, 4, 4, and 4 years old for a total of 11 points. The children were observed interacting with the provider, coloring, and watching an educational television show. Three children's records and three household records were reviewed and were in compliance. There were no medications on site to be reviewed. The emergency escape drill log was reviewed. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as December 6, 2021. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as August 3, 2021. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio were reviewed and in compliance. Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that the diapering surface was nonabsorbent. Evidence. The diapering surface (pad) had several cracks making it absorbent.
Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she would purchase a new diapering surface for the changing table today.
