Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 12:25 p.m. and ending at 1:45 p.m. There were four children in care ages 17 months through 3 years old for a total of 9 points.

Children were observed during rest time. Posted information was reviewed. Childcare areas and supplies were observed.

Four children's records and one provider record was reviewed. Emergency drills were up to date.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that all areas and equipment of the family day home were maintained in a safe condition.
1.In the dining room, there was a large printer/scanner sitting on a low piece of furniture that was unstable, creating a crushing hazard

Based on observation, not all potentially poisonous substances and materials were in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: In the backyard area, in the right corner there was a container of weed killer, windshield wiper fluid, two containers of lighter fluid and a gas can that were accessible to children.
