Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 2/18/2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:00 a.m. and ended at 12:20 p.m.. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were four children present and one caregiver; the point total was 12. The inspector reviewed four children?s records and one caregiver record on site

This inspection included document review (i.e. Injury logs, emergency drill logs, menu, emergency numbers, and pet vaccination records), tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on 2/27/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

The provider shall maintain documentation of the current rabies vaccination of pets in the home. Rabies vaccinations were overdue for two cats and one dog in the home.

Infant walkers shall not be used. Child #3 was observed sitting in an infant walker.

Standard 8VAC20-800-70-A
(Repeat Violation) Before the child's first day of attendance, parents shall be informed in writing of the requirement to pick up their child if they become ill, to inform the family day home within 24 hours or the next business day after his child or any member of the
immediate household has developed any communicable disease, and whether or not there is liability insurance in force on the family day home operation. There was no documentation that this written information was provided to the parents in the records of Child #1, Child #2, Child #3, and Child #4.
