Violations

2
Standard 8VAC20-800-210-A
Based on observation and interviews, the provider failed to ensure that caregivers shall obtain a minimum of 16 clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.

Evidence: Caregiver 1 verified that there were no training hours obtained in 2021.
Plan of Correction: Will get the hours for 2002 done.
Standard 8VAC20-800-730-D
Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that medication, including medications for caregivers and household members, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: The door to the providers bedroom was unlocked. The bedroom is located directly off the kitchen in an area where the children are. There were numerous medications on the chest of drawers, bedside table and in the floor. The medications were not locked to prevent access by children.
Plan of Correction: The medication was removed from the home during the inspection and a locked box for medication will be purchased.
