Inspector Notes

An unannounced on-site renewal inspection was conducted on 12/05/2024. The on-site inspection began at 1:15 pm and ended at 2:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present and 1 caregiver onsite. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records, 1 caregiver record, and 1 household member record.

The inspection included document review, tour of the home, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-780-B
Annually, the provider shall review with the parent the emergency contact information required in each child?s record to ensure the information is correction and shall obtain the parents signed acknowledgement of the review.

The records for Child 1, 2 and 3 did not have a parent?s signature for an annual review of the emergency contact information; the annual review was 1 month overdue.
Plan of Correction: Will get updates from parent.
Standard 8VAC20-800-800-B
The provider shall review the emergency plan at least annually and update the plan as needed; the provider shall document in writing each review and update to the emergency plan.

The most recent review of the emergency plan was completed in 06/2022.
Plan of Correction: Will update today.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
The emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.

The emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced in August 2024.
Plan of Correction: Will do a drill every month.
