Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on September 29, 2021 and concluded on October 8, 2021. There were three children present with three staff supervising. A code compliance inspection was also conducted on this date.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of two staff records and interview, the vendor did not ensure subsequent tuberculosis (TB) screenings are obtained at least every two years from the date of the initial screening.

Evidence:
The records for Staff #1 (hire date 01/01/2006) and Staff #2 (hire date 01/01/2006) contained TB screenings dated 06/28/2018. Staff #1 confirmed this information.
Plan of Correction: Updated TB screenings were obtained for both staff members on 10/08/2021 and 10/06/2021.
