Inspector Notes

An unannounced Code Compliance inspection was conducted with the Director on 9/9/2024 from 10:00am to 12:20pm. There were 5 children present, ages 4 years, supervised by one staff. The children were observed practicing handwriting, completing an activity about emotions, playing outside, and eating lunch. Five child records were reviewed for documentation of immunizations. Six staff records were reviewed for background checks, annual health statements, and training. The program has multiple staff with current certification in CPR and First Aid, Daily Health Observation training, and Medication Administration Training. Areas of non-compliance are cited in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and interview, the religious exempt child day center did not follow up within 45 days of submitting an out of state child abuse and neglect central registry search when results have not been received.

Evidence: Staff #4 (Date of Hire: 8/16/22) had a Washington state central registry search request on file that was submitted 8/29/2023, however, there was no documentation of a follow up being conducted.
Plan of Correction: We will complete follow up request and maintain documentation.
