Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-790-250-A
Based on review, 1 of 3 staff files indicated that the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care staff (sponsored by the Department of Education) had not been taken and a certificate of completion had been obtained.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (03/03/2023) a certificate of completion for the Virginia Preservice training for Child Care staff was not available for review for Staff #2.
2. The start date for Staff #2 was listed as 04/20/2018. Staff #2 was employed on 10/13/2021 and since that date. Staff #2 recently (within the past week) went on a leave of absence.
3. This same standard for this same staff was cited during a previous inspection conducted on 09/07/2022.
Plan of Correction: It is unclear if Staff #2 will return from their leave of absence. If they do, then this training will be taken, certificate obtained, and placed on file.
