Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director from 1:20 pm to 3:05 pm. Twenty nine children were present with 7 staff providing supervision. The ages of the children ranged from 19 months to 6 years of age. During the walkthrough many of the children were napping. Five staff and six children's files were reviewed as well as 4 allergy care plans. One child had medication on site. The most recent fire inspection was dated 8/14/23 and the health inspection was dated 7/17/23. The areas of non compliance are outlined on the violation notice.
Violations
3Based on observation, it was determined that hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place to prevent access by children.
Evidence:
The Licensing Inspector observed disinfectant spray and air freshener on a shelf in athe bathroom in classroom #3. The hazardous agents were unlocked.
Based on a review of recordkeeping and interviews, it was determined that the center did not maintain a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions.
Evidence:
Child A has a diary sensitivity, however this information was not documented on the current written list.
Based on a review of recordkeeping and interview, it was determined that all children with food allergies did not have a written allergy care plan on file from their physician.
Evidence:
Child B had a diagnosed food allergy to peanuts and there was not written allergy care plan on file from the child's physician.
