Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 9/11/2024. The on-site inspection was from 9:50-10:45 and then again from 2:00-2:25 due to a field trip. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 11 children present and 3 staff.

The inspector reviewed 5 children?s record. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on measurement, the center did not have the required fall zones around play equipment.
Evidence:
The climbing wall and trike equipment did not have 6 feet of space all around it.
Plan of Correction: The equipment will be moved to allow for 6 feet clearance around the play equipment.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-F
Based on record review, the center did not follow the most recent, age appropriate nutritional requirements of USDA.
Evidence:
There were several items on the snack menu that did not follow USDA guidelines.
Plan of Correction: Staff will work with the school staff to make the needed changes.
