Four child records, one household member and two staff records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider has current Medication Administration Training and there were no medications on site. Lunch served was chicken fingers, fries, oranges and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. Violations
7Evidence: The findings of the most recent inspection of the family day home was not posted; the documentation of the last inspection was stored in a folder.
Evidence: An interview revealed that the provider thought the smoke detector, located in the day care area of the home, was a carbon monoxide detector.
Evidence: There was a container of disinfectant wipes and an air freshener spray located on top of a toy shelf, accessible to children.
Evidence: In the kitchen a toaster and coffee machine were plugged in and not in use.
Evidence: A slide exit attached to the stationary playground structure was 46 inches away from the trampoline.
Evidence: An interview with the provider revealed, the trampoline was used by children in her care, ages six to eight-years-old. The standard requires that trampolines are not used during the hours children are in care.
Evidence: The provider stated that the emergency preparedness plan has not been completed yet but it is being worked on.
