Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 4/6/22 from 9:30am to 11:00am with the provider and an assistant. There were four children in care, ranging in age from eight-months to three-years-old, for a total of 14 points. Children were observed eating a snack and watching a television show and having free play. Three child records, three staff records, three household member records, and two pet records were reviewed. The provider and one assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider's medication administration training certificate has expired and she is aware she cannot administer medication until she recertifies. Morning snack today was goldfish crackers and apple juice. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
