During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 08/12/2025 and completed on 08/14/2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:10 a.m. and ended at 1:00 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 39 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site and 3 agent/applicant records electronically on 08/14/2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Staff are to complete the VDOE sponsored online orientation course within 90 days of hire.

Staff 5 has not completed this course which is overdue by 2 months.
Plan of Correction: Staff will complete training.
Standard 8VAC20-780-320-B
Each restroom area provided for children shall have sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

The water in the girls? and boys? restroom measured 124 degrees Fahrenheit.
Plan of Correction: Provider will have the water heater adjusted.
Standard 8VAC20-780-330-B
Playground equipment with moving parts or climbing apparatus must have appropriate resilient surfacing in the fall zones.

The resilient surfacing in the fall zone of the playground measured four inches in multiple areas. The resilient surfacing in the fall zone of the merry go cycles measured less than one inch. Grass was observed growing in multiple areas of the fall zone. Six inches of resilient surfacing is required in these fall zones.
Plan of Correction: Provider will obtain required amount of mulch.
