Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on December 13, 2022. There were six
children present with two caregivers supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on review of caregiver records, the provider did not ensure caregivers completed Virginia preservice training for Child Care staff sponsored by the Department of Education, within the first 90 days of employment.

Evidence:

Caregiver #3, employed 07/25/2022, did not have documentation of completing the Virginia preservice training, exceeding 90 days from employment.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: The caregiver will complete the Virginia preservice training.
