Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. The provider was contacted via Facetime to initiate the inspection. There were a total of 10 children (30pts) with 2 staff. Children were observed finishing morning snack, playing with toys and equipment. Observation of the programming space, required postings, bathroom and food preparation area was made. The menu today has pizza, carrots and apples for lunch. No food allergies identified. Four cribs in use, all four cribs were observed with tight fitting sheets. Staff were observed wearing masks. No medications on site today. A total of 3 children's records, all staff and household records were reviewed. Background checks, health screenings and certifications remain current. 2Evidence: Child #2 began care on 11/23/20. No documentation found that the provider reviewed either a birth certification, birth registration card or passport to verify the child's identity.
Evidence: A monthly evacuation drill was not completed in February 2021.
