Inspector Notes
A monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 9 children (21pts) with 2 staff were present. An adult visitor with a child was also present at the beginning of the inspection. The children were positioned on the floor was observed in an exersaucer. Observation of the middle floor of the home and the programming space located in the basement was made. The crib room, bathroom and food preparation area was also observed. No medication needs or identified food allergies at this time. A total of 5 children's records and all staff and household records were reviewed. Some violations found today. One repeated/uncorrected violation found. 6Evidence:
Staff #3 was hired on 1/6/2022. Orientation training which is required within the first week of employment has not been completed. This is repeated and uncorrected from the last inspection.
Evidence:
A toaster which was not currently in use and located on the counter in the food preparation area was found plugged in.
Evidence:
The diaper mat used for diapering has cracks in the surface and is no longer absorbent.
Evidence:
The foot operated receptacle no longer lifts hands free when disposing a diaper.
Evidence:
One topical ointment was found in the storage compartment which was hung on a door. The compartment with the ointment was accessible to children.
Evidence:
The table used for eating and activities was not washed with soap and water or detergent solution and rinsed with water.
