Inspector Notes
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted today. A total of 11 children (28pts) with 3 staff were present during the inspection. The children were divided into two groups. One group were playing in the smaller programming room and the other group was playing in the larger space. The children transitioned to the larger room, washed hands and sat for morning snack. Snack was sliced apples and water to drink. After snack, they were able to play freely on the floor or engage in wooden puzzles at the table. Diapering and handwashing procedures were observed. Consultation provided regarding the diaper surface and proper sanitizing and also avoiding choking hazards when food is served. All staff and household records were reviewed and a total of 6 children's records were also reviewed. No medication needs at this time. The home was found neat and organized and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for the children currently in care. One repeated violation found along with other violations. This inspection occurred between 9:40am and 12pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
