Inspector Notes
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 9/20/23 from 7:44 a.m. to 9:28 in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A total of 19 children were present with four staff providing care. Children were observed in free play and preparing for breakfast. Programming, attendance, menus, emergency procedures were reviewed. Five children?s records and five staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice Training, Health & Safety Update training, and current certification in First Aid and CPR. The last lockdown drill was documented on 9/7/23. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
