Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on June 15, 2023, with the center director. The inspection began at approximately 9:25AM and concluded at 12:00PM. There were 111 children present, ranging in ages from 3 months to 6 years, with 22 staff supervising. Children were observed participating in water play activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 10 child records and 10 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the Gold classroom, a bottle of Acetone nail polish remover and Dawn dish detergent, labeled with "Keep Out of Reach of Children", was in an unlocked low cabinet.
Plan of Correction: Dawn and nail polish remover were removed into locked cabinet immediately.
