Inspector Notes

A focused unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on January 19, 2024 from approximately 7:30 AM to 8:35 AM. There were 26 children present in the center, ranging in ages from infant to school-age with nine staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and special services. A total of two staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction and the date to be corrected for each violation listed on the violation notice and return it to the department within 5 business days from receipt. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s); 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Please do not use staff names, list staff by positions only.

Repeat Violation
Based on observation, the center did not ensure areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
A pipe was sticking out of a fenced in area for the pool equipment, creating a tripping hazard on the playground.
Plan of Correction: Tue backwash pipe to the pool was fixed on 1/29/24 by Clearwater Pool. Tue director or manager in charge will review any work performed by an outside vendor for potential hazards before leaving the job site
