Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
The diapering surface shall be used only for diapering or cleaning children, and it shall be cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use.

The diapering surface was not sanitized after the diapering of a child.
Plan of Correction: Staff in this classroom will be reminded that a two step process of cleaning with soap and water and then sanitizing with bleach and water is required.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-P
When an authorization for medication expires, the parent shall be notified that the medication needs to be picked up within 14 days or the parent must renew the authorization. Medications that are not picked up by the parent within 14 days will be disposed of by the center.

An authorization for a medication expired over 18 months ago. The medication was found onsite.
Plan of Correction: This medication will be returned to the parent today at pick up.

For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

The written record of attendance in one classroom documented the arrival of one child who was not present. A total of 11 children were present. The attendance record documented a total of 12 children present today.
Plan of Correction: The record was corrected immediately.
