At least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present shall have current certification in both CPR and first aid. Staff #3 was alone with a group of toddler/2's children and was not certified in CPR and first aid.
Plan of Correction: Staff is scheduled for CPR/first aid class.
Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
(Repeat violation) For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. There were seven children in the preschool room, but only five were marked present on the attendance record.
Plan of Correction: Director will have a meeting with staff to reiterate staff are to ensure children are signed in and out when moved to another classroom.
