Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was completed on April 19, 2023. There was 3 child in care present and 1 household child and 1 caregiver supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records, 1 caregiver, 1 household member records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on interview, the licensee did not ensure each building that house a child day program is equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detectors.

Evidence: Interview with caregiver confirmed there was not a carbon monoxide detector available for review during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: The licensee will purchase and install carbon monoxide detector for family day home.
