Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:30 - 2:00 PM. At the time of the inspection, there were 140 children (ages infant through preschool) in care with 13 direct caregivers. All children were observed napping, The sample size was 13 staff and 11 children.
Medication was also reviewed.

Based on examination of lunchboxes, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that all food brought from home (lunchboxes) were labeled with the child's name and the date.

Evidence:
Although labeled with the child's name, there were no dates on lunch boxes.
Plan of Correction: All staff will be retrained to check lunch boxes on a daily basis to ensure that they are labeled and dated.
