Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded June 3, 2021. The program director was contacted by telephone to initiate the virtual, remote inspection. There were 36 children present with five staff. Children present ranged in age from six months to 11 years old. The inspector reviewed a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed three children?s and three staff records during the virtual, remote inspection to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Violations
2Evidence:
1 - Four children were observed napping/resting on the carpeted floor, during the designated rest period, in the school age room.
2 - Staff one confirmed that the four children were participating in nap/rest time when they were observed laying on the floor in the school age room.

Evidence:
1 - A tube of clotrimazole cream has an expiration date of April, 2021. However, the medication was accepted into the center to be administered to child 1 on May 24, 2021, well after the medication had expired.
2 - Staff 1 confirmed that the over the counter medication had expired when it was accepted into the center.
