8VAC20-790 Subsidy Regulations

During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above, to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

A subsidy inspection was initiated and completed on February 3, 2025. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Staff who work directly with children shall have 16 hours of training to include the department?s health and safety update course. Two staff members did not complete the annual health and safety course. Staff #1 most recent training was in 2019, and Staff #2 was taken in 2020 for the health
and safety update course.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: The center will ensure that all staff members have the appropriate number of trainings including the annual 3-hour health and safety course. The certificates will be placed in the training binder.
