8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 04/09/2024 from 10:55am to 12:10pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 10 children ages 7 months to age 8 years old (22 points) with the Provider and 1 assistant. The programming area, attendance, menus, Provider, Assistant and Household member records, 6 children?s records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. There were no medications onsite. Children were observed participating in singing and free play. There was an adequate number of caregivers present with current certification in CPR and First Aid training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
