Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A complaint inspection was initiated on 09/08/2021 and concluded on 09/02/2021. A complaint received by the department regarding allegations in the areas center's policies. The director was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation. The inspector emailed the director a list of documentation required to complete the investigation.
The evidence gathered during the investigation supported the allegations of non-compliance with standards or law and violations were issued.

Based on interviews, the center failed to ensure that the center's activities comply with their own policies.
Evidence:
1. On July 23, 2021 child # 1 was picked up by a relative, staff person did not verify that the relative was on the child's pick up list or check the relative's identification. The center's policy is for all staff to check identification and the pick up list for any new person or unfamiliar person.
