Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 09/30/2024 and completed on 09/30/2024. The on-site inspection began at 11:00 am and ended at 1:50 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 80 children present and 15 staff. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 7 staff records onsite. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Physical examinations completed by a physician shall be obtained prior to the first day of attendance or within 30 days after the first day of attendance.

There was no physical examination in the record of child #2, who had been enrolled for three months.
Plan of Correction: Staff will obtain information from parent.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-D
Cleaning and sanitizing materials shall not be located above food equipment.

A bottle of sanitizing material was located above sippy cups in the 18 month- 24-month-old room.
Plan of Correction: Staff moved sippy cups during the inspection.
