Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the virtual inspection. There were 2 children present and 1 staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 1 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Based on review of staff record and interview with staff, the provider did not ensure to obtain central registry finding within the required timeframe.

Evidence: In Staff#1 record, the central registry findings was dated March 4, 2015 for the remote inspection review. Interview with staff confirmed the central registry findings available for review was the most recent.
Plan of Correction: The provider will resubmit central registry search and obtain copy to include in record for further review.
