Inspector Notes

A non-mandated focused inspection was initiated was conducted on March 21, 2023 from 1:25 P.M.-3:45 P.M. There were 50 children present, ranging in ages from four months to five years of age, with eleven staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records and eight staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of children records, the center failed to ensure that immunizations were obtained and on file prior to the first date of attendance.

Evidence:
1. Child #1's first date of attendance was 03/13/2023. The immunizations on file were dated 03/17/2023.
2. Child #2's first date of attendance was 03/01/2023. The immunizations on file were dated 03/02/2023.
3. Staff #1 verified the first date of attendance for Child #1 and Child #2 and the date on the immunizations.
Plan of Correction: In the future administration will ensure that children do not start care until the immunizations are received and on file.
